The PX-25 is only 6 watts but plenty enough to drive my Avantgarde speakers for the type of music you mention. Unos at the time with 102dB sensitivity, but I have 104dB Duos now.
I currently drive them with 150 watt solid state as I concluded that I'd listen to more music if I could find an equally good sounding SS amp that doesn't need the valves checking and changing from time to time - and quieter too. And I now do listen to more music, so no looking back.
I also had an Art Audio Carissa 845-based amp (18 whole watts!) that was better than the PX-25 for big scale music, but the PX-25 was better for jazz and smaller scale stuff.
