I was just looking at the variations in the VOT a-7 design and I noticed that in some instances the cabinet was inverted and the 511 HF horn was mounted in the enlarged port opening. I think this is the way some of the furniture versions worked. This certainly would make the cabinet a bit easier to manage in moving rather than having the horn perched on top. Are there certain disadvantages to this configuration? One would think midrange performance may suffer or that HF distortion may result from the air coming from the port. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. THanks, Doug Eisemann
