Or, Altec 414 and 802/811 horn combo on top(or JMLC type horn) using 614 cabs similar to the Altec ValenciaTo me,from my experienced, no single 8 or 6 incher driver can touch them in dynamics, and balance using 8W and below amps(I have 45/2A3/300B and triode Strapped 6L6/El34/KT66 amps). Use a 4th order Linkwitz or the textbook Altec XO's available.
If you want new equivalents of the drivers, then GPA sells them. With the above type of set up, you have lots of flexibility in amps and speaker components choices if you choose to upgrade.
