A perfect HE speaker for a 300b SET amp in a smallish room

Guys,

I'm giving up on horns in a small room. I have less than 3m from the listening position and I think it's time for something new and more suitable for a smallish room, 5x4m. For years it was obvious that I get better sound in an adjoint room through the door than in my dedicated one.

So, now I need something new. Hi efficient, dynamic, clear and fast. Horn bug left a strong impact and I will need to find something that sounds as close to horns just more room friendly.

Audio Note are not an option, I had that once. They are okay but I need something closer to horns in presentation.

I was thinking about Tannoys but they seem not to like 300b SET or am I wrong?

Or a cab based around Altec 604 in one of the GPA incarnations. How's that? Never heard one.

Last but not least, one of the options would a Geddes type 2-way box based around OSWG, just with better drivers. I found his models too generic and boring sounding but I agree they have some qualities, like great soundstage and electrostatic transparency.

What are your experiences? Pls bear in mind it should be driven by a 300b amp.
