Well you hace been making a serious effort with your Cornwall speakers. I switched my K77 Heresy tweetere to a set of CT125 abd liker the smooth and extended sound they offer. So I think it would be fair to say that your issues are with your mid driver. I realize you have invested a lot of time money and emotional effort in your Cornwall`s and I will suggest you spend a little more and finish the job. It`s time to try out a newer set of mud magnet driver fitted with the new Klipsch Titanium diaphragms. I have a pair you could try if you really needed them. That should solve your issues.
