Nice return chopper. Your point is well taken. And fair enough.
If you are serious about all of this, try to consider the possibility (fact) that Audio Note speakers are voiced for corner placement. Yes, vibrating box and all. They are designed to sound good in a typical non treated living room while using the proper supporting Audio Note gear. If you take them out of the environment for which they were made, how can you give them a fair evaluation?
Also, if you would at least go somewhere to hear them, whether you like them or not you will walk away with a new learning experience. Sometimes it's hard to learn something new when you're sure that you already know all about it. I have to remind myself of this all of the time. But, it's par for the course. We are only human.
