Home High Efficiency Speaker Asylum

Need speakers that can rock with just one watt? You found da place.

NO, but if it is better on HE spkrs than the Aleph, it must be acceptable.

I've heard local 18 watt SEUL 13E1 amps, and the Aleph 3 rack version! and several Zen's - and their 'balanced' kiddies.

My rebuilt Leak St20's got real close, once I'd put a CCS on each splitter, that is!

I am considering CCSing the output stages - as per Allen Wright, but this means pure class-A output stages, and a significant peak power loss. BTA I may just have sufficient headroom after I've built the [12"] bass bin tubes - to be powered by my rebuilt STAX DA80 - to go under my model 3 'spheres - see below.

It really depends on whether I end up with the bins running high enough ~ 150 - <300, to assist with the baffle loss and the floor dip, or if they sound better just doing ELF, say ~ <35 ~ ?, with almost no extra 'gain-structure' headroom.

It is 'possible' - with the 12" driver/port driving the room, facing the floor, slot-loaded to a 24-inch round paver, that the bins could run in parallel from 'somwhere below 250hz', - helping fill in our first dip which is a room harmonic combined with baffle dip, and the floor dip, because the driver engages the room differently to the 8"!?

Sorry, I went off your topic, again.

Hope you could follow it.

Warmest
