It's yard sale season, there are a lot of nice surprises out there. If that fails you, the Amazon.com has some Athena models that are good for the money. I just got a pair of AS-F1 8" two ways for the family room. A nice 250.00 tower. They have a Hi-Fi sound. Their weeknes is the dome tweeter, it's a typical dome, a little spitty and pie tinny. Luckily they mount the crossover on the input jacks and the 6.8uf cap is easy to change for quick improvement.
