I bought my 604s from a guy from Canada. Shipping cost me an arm and a leg, but you hardly find them on ebay here.
Whilst Germany was busy warmongering and rebuilding the damaged country later, the Americans had the resources to develop fine theatre and recording studio gear.
Then again, there was Siemens Klangfilm, Telefunken, and later Klein+Hummel and EMT.Manfred
