Seems like a good idea in hind sight not to have drilled holes and placed T-nuts in the smaller 1.3 cabinets to fit the 8" Fostex's. As you are aware, Fostex and Lowther holes don't line up. You see, my 1.3 cabinets with Fostex 206e drivers was nothing more than a time killing experiment. There was no way that these cheap things in simple cabinets could perform as well as my standard B&W Nautalis 805's. Oh well, never to old to learn.
So, I really had no choice but to build anther box if I wanted to spend some real money on Lowthers. Paul, I don't know if you also have 1.3 cabinets, but, they sure seem to be much better producers of mid bass. The DX-3s are obviously defficiant of mid bass in the 2.5 big port cabinets. Now, the question is, do the Fostex 206e's have musch better mid bass than than DX-3s regardless of which box, or, should I build a 1.3 box for the Lowthers to gain some mid bass missing with the 2.5s?Lance A.
