So, What makes a Lowther DX3 better than a Fostex 206e

I have recently become a big fan of the singe driver sound. I purchased a pair of Fostex 206e drivers and placed them in a moderate sized floor standing bass reflex cabinet (horn cabinets to come later.
) I was stunned at how much more alive they sound when compared with my B&W Nautalis 805s, Chartwell LS3\5a's, and other conventional multi driver designs. I was so blown away that I ordered a pair of Lowther DX3 drivers and built a substantially larger ported box (not my design) for them. They have now been breaking in for four days and soung great. However, upon comparison, I have yet to hear the LowtherDX3's sonic advantages vs the Fostex 206e's. There is more bass from the Lowther based cabinets, presumably because their boxes are lots bigger. But, all else is almost identical, accept that the Fostex's seem to offer a bit more "you are there" life to vocals.
I plan to keep both but expected the Lowthers to blow the Fostex's away. More Lowther break in time???
