The treble from whizzer cones may be extended, but it just will be jagged and incoherent with the lower wave-forms.
I'd be willing to bet that you will hate it cf the LS3/5A.
So, I'd still recommend the two driver 2.5 way idea - sans whizzer - in the stand-mount version, or the floor mount.
