I use a Jolida JD-102 once in awhile with some Altecs and it's smooth and airy, I think it would match well with Cornwalls.I also use an old Fisher 500B with the same speakers and it has more clarity than the Jolida and is the better unit. But I just had the thing rebuilt by noted Knoxville amp mechanic Terry DeWick.
That's the rub with the old tube stuff, much of it needs rebuilding or tuning up of one sort or another whereas with something new you plug, play and forget.
That little Sonic Impact one of the fellas mentioned can sound pretty good too, at 30 bucks what's to lose?
