Vitavox as a tweeter

I'm using the Vitavox S2 with a single .47 cap in series with l-pad more like a tweeter rather than a supertweeter. I know this does not make much sense, but by accident it works. Not exactly comparing Vitavox and Fostex as supertweeters.

In my rear loaded horn with Fostex 208E Sigma (treated with varnish- clarifies and acts as a low pass) the Vitavox sounds better than the t500a supertweeter (I've never heard the 900a.). Probably because it is going lower even with the first order cap (fs <500Hz vs fs 3000Hz for the Fostex). Technically, the sound has more physicality, speed, and distinguishes the different decay(s) of instruments better. More important though, the music has more emotion and drive.

I'm waiting for my 700Hz conical horns for the Vitavox. I will try to mechanically roll off the Fostex for even better transition. Somewhat similar to what Mr. Butterfield is doing.

I think that the Fostex could be incorporated in the system as a true supertweeter above the rolloff of the Vitavox. Probably a very tiny cap or a steeper filter.

I saw a huge supertweeter (about the size of a coffee can cut in half) on display at the Fostex room at the '05 CES. Is that the t900a?
