I'm not sure the TADs I have heard are the "new' ones, but I have had problems with every large "pro" horn system I have heard. The TADs I heard just blast you, even when they aren't played as loud as they are designed to be played (loud). I guess I would say they are like the vintage "pro" drivers, only moreso. I have no idea how one could take advantage of the TADs' super-immediate response but retain a comfortable presentation. BTW, I had tube amps and tar horns on my VOTTs, and they were still too much for me, so maybe that helps put my thoughts in perspective for you.You have taken on some mighty projects. Have you ever looked at Tommy Horning's big speakers? If anyone could figure them out, I bet you could.
Best,
Paul S
