What gets me is that WE has all the old drawings , Bell/Lucent/ has all that shit stashed away and its not just scribble, they have all the details that would allow them to go right into production. With the crazy prices on ebay you'd think they would jump right in. I understand them not making the amps, heck they'd cost a million. They used to have a model 91 a couple years back for 10,000 per monoblock , who knows?I have a line on a company who sells formers and will wind coil on a few for prototypes as a favor, also I found a company who will make custom cones--Nuway. I think I have a way to wind at home, but have to try it someday. Original cones were vacuum formed, I guess that's how its still done.....
755A contained silk in the cone pulp , I made some paper by hand with silk ran through a blender after I cut it up. Its very strong and light. I'll likely wind up destroying a 755A in order to copy it. I'll have the cone material analyzed for content.....who knows, I'll probably be dead before I finish......
