IMO you'd keep yourself busy trying to build and balance a "new" Karlson type - for variables: slot aspect, air mass above slot, aperture flare, chamber volumes. port placement, reflector cant, initial slot gap, then for old school - Mr. K's "protuberances" effects upon timbre lol -one dude I know evaluates a test coupler with several sets of CNC-ed wings: radial;1/1.7;1/3/ then expo. next text box for me will have vari-tilt!
