I cloned original designs both JBL XPL-200A from E-bay NOS drivers and crossovers. The other pair are JBL 4344's from Ebayed drivers, and cores with new recones. A friend did the crossovers I did the cabinets. Couldn't afford a pair of either any other way. Was fun too. Built the 4344's to compare and potentially replace my active set-up. Only to discover that all three are from the same cloth but different. All good all fun all have strong points different from each other. Depends on what you want. I am a certifiable JBL nut so this approach worked just fine. I have own other brands as well but they were not the sound I was trying to capture. Not to obvious what I was looking for.
