some years back built (or tried) a single-path m=0.55 55Hz horn ~15cu.ft. -nothing special -first bend was not pretty - kinda like S9 but with throat ramps holding one vertical dimension of ~4" til upwards bend (driver fired into a trap-reflector) - were 3-conic approximations from an 80 sq.in. throat to a 720 sq.in. moutha higher flare probably would have been better box was too bulky - but reasonably loud with E140
is it asking too much of ~10 cu.ft. with say JBL 2220A to get a solid 65-650? -(PV FH1 = rhAT bulk)
how does one economically fold the bulk to not come up with too large a back chamber (unless was going to be vented) and get smooth 1st bend and response? - would 3-sections still be best or try a J?- 65Hz horn coming from 80sq.in - Sd of a 15" isn't very long to 3/16 size.
also - process seemed somewhat clumsy to fudge the expansion from 2nd to final section - on grid paper had to work from both ends then make a "decision" - a buddy looked at the same expansion completely different (opening up much faster/sooner)
sorry to ask so much.
