Sensitivity is 97dB.
For the first 10 years I used a single-ended, direct coupled, parafeed 45 amp with all the goodies: Magnequest Plate Chokes and OPT's, CCS, and a beautifully simple John Tucker circuit dual mono all the way back to the Hammond power transformer.
It was aces on everything, kick drum included, except large orchestral and/or chorus. I loved staring at it, too, as I put a lot of effort into the chassis.

About 5 years ago I read a diyaudio.com thread on a 21st Century sequel to the Mullard 5-20 that produced 60 KT-88 Watts and, with the help of my own personal Wizard, Steve Brown, we each built a pair. I can't recall the SE 45 sounding better on any program material. 60 Watts with the RF86 driver run in triode and no NFB, is just as sensational on Buddy Guy and Junior Wells "Alone And Acoustic" as on Mahler Symphonies.
