Just wait until you try a 46. The 46 has an output of a little more than 1 watt yet many folks find that not only does it sound better than a 45, it actually sounds more powerful. On my 98db speakers, a single 46 (when implemented properly) does just fine with most music. Large scale orchestral works need more power.With such low power, however, there is a lot more involved than just the type of tube and the circuit. Every aspect of the build seems more important with low-power no-feedback amps.
