Home High Efficiency Speaker Asylum

Need speakers that can rock with just one watt? You found da place.

Good bye Hi Fi - hello music

I bought Rehdeko 125 > 100 db/w speakers yesterday after listening a few days to them at my home. They have replaced my ProAc Studio 200 (if anyone wants to buy them please drop me a mail).

What sounded terrible in the first place - no treble and bass, heavy colorations - outclasses the ProAc _big_ time after I adjusted myself to the very unusal sound compared to today´s standard.

Finally a guitar (electric, acoustic or steel), mandolin, sax, violin etc sound somehow like real intruments through the French Rehdekos. The tone got real texture now. Do you know how much weight a single note on a dreadnought guitar has? I own a Santa Cruz and a National and finally I can hear something this real from my stereo too. It is unbelievable to listen to records I thought I knew how they sound. I missed a lot!

The ProAc (as the Audio Note E or Zingali Overture 3.S I checked out too) just create a fake Hi Fi sound compared to the two full range drivers of the Rehdeko.

All that artificial treble and bass of the common designs is fine unless you compare it to a real instrument.

And once you hear proper timing due to a crossover free speaker you might be able to realize how good the Grateful Dead could really groove.

Dealers and friends shake their head about my decision but I am quite impressed and hope to stay on "this side" of the speaker world for a long time.

Rolf
