in a TL. I have tried them in several OB setups, but this cab works best IMO. The response is well balanced, reasonably dynamic and very musical. To my ears, it actually optimizes the potential [particularly the LF] of these drivers better than OB. I use mine in a fairly large room that has hard surfaces with a couple large area rugs.
I have listened with many different amps, including SET 45, 2A3, 300B, GM-30, GM-100, 75TL and now an 845. In addition, I have used vintage SS on them with good results. My Luxman L80V sounds pretty good, but I find the 845 to be more robust, dimensional and full sounding.
I found the 2A3 and 45 amps lack sufficient power to adequately drive this speaker without sonic problems. On some music, they will compress the sound or just result in a diminished 'weight' or scale, but a little more power [mostly] avoids that problem.
And although I like some 'little girl with guitar' music, I also like a whole lot more too.
I recently got a PP Fischer amp, but haven't tried it out yet.
