Qts should be around 0.3 for larger K and could be lower when vas is large. drivers of their day such as 604/EV15TRX are good. Eminence C15CX was good and only thing I could afford vs multiple Duplex.smaller couplers K12 and X15 are worse choices overall than K15 but still fun and both of these can hit hard.
for K15 look for mms like good vintage drivers - SP15A and SP15 (ferrite) worked will with good snap. SP15 was close in sound to an extended range 416. SP15A with that 2 ohm series resistor hidden behind a frame spoke was a surprise as Qt was very low with resistor and around 0.18 with it out of circuit. EV's specs in 1970's listed SP15A Q at 0.45. this type woofer chan do good work in K15.
X15 had the slotted tube waveguide and a CTS 15" and was not sold unloaded.
initial aperture gap and small flare changes affect highs and midrange. a big gap 6.3CF cabinet was nicely tonally with 18" and small change in gap/wings position made it congested.
old man Karlson demanded coating the front chambers.
