i made a pair of boxes-- 3.3 cu ft, ported at the floor-- crossed 'em over at 2-2.5 mhz to similar efficiency motorola horn tweet (a piezo, i reckon.. it weighed all of about 2 ounces!) nice and lively! those speakers LOVE huge boxes to keep the treble in line-- they're hot if you let 'em run full range, and seem to have a HORRIBLE peak at about 3k!OB's didnt work too well for me either.. hothothot! they're not the epitomy of low end extension.. but very nice sounding! i took them out of these hilarious end-table type of boxes from a thrift store that mustve been 6 cubic foot.. no kidding. they actually sounded pretty nice in them, but they were FUGLY...
just see if you can find a tweet of similar efficiency, stay away from 3k (!), and they'll be great bass drivers!
