Re: 604's with 2 watt SET

"You'll get what you get. I've used a 2-watt SET (Decware) with my 604's for a few years now, and the sound is fantastic. I have a set of PP mono's for times when I want more power, but the Decware does everything better, bass included. In my small room I get quite a respectable volume out of the 2 watts, but it does sound better when not close to the limits. I would say if your listening habits don't really bring you above 95 db, which is quite loud really, you would be totally satisfied. Otherwise I would recommend having a secondary amp like I do, for the times when you want to crank it.
My crossover is simple, 1st order on LF and HF, and I wouldn't call the sound "small".

Thank you very much. This whole 15" coaxial/reflex mess would probebly send me down the path to a larger yet inferior sounding amplifier. Not so sure I want to walk that road again.

Dave
