I had a PS Audio P-300 on my SCD-1 and my Krell preamp.The P-300 ran hot, was noisy and ultimately damaged my preamp and my SCD-1. All that and I didn't like what it provided to the sound of my system. I then bought a HYDRA---what a different story. It's quiet--does not run hot --very safe and the sound is fantastic. Best soundstage--best high frequencies--best bass that I ever had in my system. I could not be happier.
