So what i'm wondering now is whether you can use the HDMI out for video to connect to my MB Pro, and the coax out to a dac. I don't know if they both can be used at the same time or not. I did see a Sony X800m2 that has separate HDMI outputs for video and audio, and a coax output as well. It also plays pretty much everything out there. Only $250, so not terribly priced. Can't test the one I have at the moment because the system isn't set up in the right spot, too much to disconnect everything!
Otherwise I'll check out the Goodwills (ours around her are usually picked over) or one of the small ones on Amazon > $100 or so.
