I don't even own an Oppo because I've heard how grey and lifeless they can sound. Should I ever consider one (there aren't many others to choose from these days), it's nice to know this upgrade is available. The PS certainly is a factor in the overall sound of these players, and any improvement is probably worthwhile. I would be interested in learning from someone who tries the upgrade.
