Good to know even though SACDs from Japan are pricy. This is all reminiscent of my youth when I saved up for half-speed masters and audiophile pressings of my favorite albums.
You really should not have to spend $30-50 for a recording in any format. I wouldn't mind so much if I knew the artists were getting a larger piece of the pie.
I wish the music industry would settle on one format. The availability of albums on hi-rez would increase and the price would surely drop.
I guess there is no financial motive for doing so. Greedy bas....!
