It was only most commercial LPs that took a turn for the worse after the mid 60's. There were exceptions such as the Vox and Vanguard recordings made by Marc Aubort and Johanna Nickrentz.
The late 70's was the birth of Direct Disc LPs, audiophile remastered LPs and high quality original audiophile LPs. Reference Recordings last PURE ANALOGUE LP was released in 1995!
