RE: Sorry, you got it wrong....not

Again, nothing is absolute right, its what you like, I don't have it wrong, I just accept the facts of buying gear over 25 years be turntables or CD players or what ever, they have a sound.

We all buy what we like and for me its an emtional attachment to music, call it what you will, be if it does not move me, it goes not matter the brand or how much it costs.

I stopped looking for the holy grail, I build my current system around enjoying the music, if MP3 does it for you then great, if a 20K turntable does it for you that's great, and if a 20K CD player melts your butter that is great also, no need to explain.

But to me and my experience there is no way you can call one medium better then the other, CD players have been around 30 years now, take the LP back 30 years and you have to say thing improved from 1950's to the 1980's in vinyl, or solid state for that matter and even tubes, everything progress.

Perfect sound forever was a good catch phase for an new medium to market it with, well I guess you could say they were right to this extent, my 20 year old CD's still sound the same, no ticks, nicks or pops! they sound like they did from day one new and some with the newer CD players sound quite good, perhaps it took the software playback to catch up, just like turntables did in the day.

In the end we all enjoy the music why argue about it?

Mr. B
