He did not say

A preference is different from better. Before we get carried away, In the beginning when there were no digital recordings, all CD transfers were analog. Moving on, How does a $200 LP replay system. you bet it will be no great shakes, I have a copy of the latest hifiworld at home, if their suggestions are anything to go by, Decent Quality LP replay begins at around the £700 (or in dollars terms) near the $1000 mark. The cost of the cheapest catridge recommended is higher that cost of most entry level CDPs. And anyone that reads that issue will get an object lesson on why the public moved away from LPs in droves. Frankly, I liken the LP lover to a classic car enthusiast, Are modern cars superior, most definitely yes, Do have the same feel as the Vintage cars of old, certainly not. I am sure you are aware that many folks still prefer to drive around in vintage mustangs etc, Does that make those cars superior to a thoroughly modern Dodge Viper for example, Certainly not. For all Tony's comments in magazines of late, I have yet to see him quoted ANYWHERE saying that SOTA LP replay is superior to SOTA digital replay. And I am somewhat certain he will never say that.
