if your system goes deep enought and you have enough POWER. Proper low frequency response demands that the microphones be way back from the instruments as low frequency waves are VERY LARGE, push a lot of air and take up a lot of space, when you move the mic's too close you destroy the bass, then have to try to EQ it back in. The Telarc bass is the real thing as heard in the concert hall.Telarc recordings, as well as Sheffield Lab, RCA Living Stereo and Mercury Living Presence are recorded "Natural" and designed to be listened to at REALISTIC LEVELS (ie: LOUD) to capture all the details. If you don't want to listen to at realistic levels, then get some over-processed major label recordings. To each their own. I prefer the real thing.
Happy listening,
Teresa
