I own some hybrids that I have difficulty telling the difference. And I agree that the CD layer is quite good with the 4 RS albums that I bought. But I have no trouble telling the difference on my 9000ES with Rotel pre/pro.A couple hours ago, I forgot that I left the 9000ES in CD mode. I wanted to play Beggers Banquet for my son. I played about 10-15 seconds of "Sympathy for the Devil" and could immediately tell it was the CD layer. I switched it to SACD and played it again. My 23 year old son commented that there was a big difference between the CD and SACD layer.
