new classical LPs are all but gone...there are reissues of course and very good ones. But if you are looking for new classical content on a hi-rez medium, SACD is becoming the place to look.all sorts of independent rock, electronica, etc. come out on vinyl, too much to keep track of. If you are interested in this content, there is virtually none on SACD, LP is the way to go.
personally, I would not want to live without either choice.
