Home Hi-Rez Highway

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

but the hunt is half the fun, SACD will survive just as LP has, at least as a niche market, and It

may eventually replace CD, MP3 is a real threat to all recorded media as the Record Companies are getting into downloading, charging $10.00 for a downloaded CD, but I hope buyers wise up before it's too late. As with downloaded music all you get is the music, no Cover art work, no program notes, nothing you can put in your hand and for $10.00. You could get the used CD for $6.00 - $9.00 and a new Jewel box for 50 cents and it's like a new CD. Or you could wait for the new CD to go on sale for 12.99 and buy it then. The new Pay downloading is simply stupid, terrible sound quality and none of the extras.

I think education is the key, these kids have to realize that the paid downloading is a rip-off. I think they got used to it when it was free, and now it is a habit?
