One: The Esoteric is an overpriced, overengineered badly performing SACD player. But I find it difficult to accept that a company like Esoteric could release something, the sound of which was so inferior.
Two: The Meitner gear is just plain superior to anything on the market at this time and in comparison, the Esoteric sounded "broken". But my intuition tells me something was not right with the Esoteric. C'est tout.
