Robert,i do have very short interconnects from the RVC to my amps. i have done easily 20 cable comparisons involving this setup and particularly involving current technology Transparent compared to my Valhalla.....both single ended and balanced. current technology Transparent has much less electronics in their network boxes and no longer limit bandwidth......4 years old Transparent technology is totally different.....at that time the Opus speaker cable had been introduced but the interconnects were not out for another year......and they were $6k for a one meter RCA cable ($12k for balanced). these Transparent Opus interconnects are the only interconnects (both Balanced and RCA) that outperfrom my Valhalla in my system....they have very similar characteristics but just go farther.
the Transparent RCA interconnects i used yesterday have been out about 2 years.....and are one step down from Opus in the Transparent range.
i explain this to make clear that i am quite familiar with what these interconnects are doing in the system and that to invalidate this listening session due to interconnect issues would be a mistake.
i would agree that in a perfect world i would have identical interconnects for both the Meitner and Esoteric.
