In the past two days I have been listening to PCM downloads of Mahler and Bruckner symphonies, from the Philadelphia Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Boston Symphony Orchestra. (All paid Internet downloads.) Very good sound on the Philadelphia orchestra recordings (44/16), excellent sound on the BSO recordings, and spectacular sound on the CSO recordings.
