hi jerome,i envy your concert experience. sounds like a very enjoyable time.
interesting comments on the DSD mastering and the hard drive issues. it does make sense what you suggest. i just don't think the economic model yet exists for hi-rez on-line distribution. but the theory is great. i just don't want a bunch of lawyers getting between me and my music. sacd offers great performance and copy protection and it is here now.
i do wonder about the deterioration of the sound on the master DSD tape. my guess would be a jitter problem of some sort. i have become a believer in one-box digital mostly due to listenning to 2-box solutions that can't compete and i think most of the difference is jitter. i doubt they have found a way to totally control the jitter on the master tape and each transfer increases the jitter issue. just a guess.
on the aurio issue i am considering the Aurio Pros which i understand are easier to keep level. as things are sounding great at the moment i am in no hurry.
