i do have the emmlabs CDSD on the SAP Relaxa 1 mag-lev shelf.....and the DAC6 on Walker cones and pucks. whereas the Esoteric was on the Zoethecus constrained layer Z-shelves. i can say that the tweaks applied to the Meitner gear did not make significant improvements to it's performance. since i am new in my room i have been moving things around quite a bit and so have got a feel for what is doing what.the Esoteric transport is 'supposed' to be phenominal in terms of build quality and it's transport mechanism is likely the current SOTA....the 'VRDS-NEO'. we discussed this issue among ourselves and concluded that this over-the-top transport likely would render insignificant the effect of trying to pursue that issue.
the build quality, weight, and solidness of the Esoteric gear is exceptional......and would minimize (but not eliminate) sonic differences here.
time constraints prevented any experimenting in these areas.
