Dan's mods are very good. I have heard them and am always impressed. In terms of using a Dan Wright modified Philips SACD 1000 for use with an EMM Labs DAC, I think it would in your best interest to start with an unmodified Philips. The modifications Dan does really benefit the unit as a complete player, but the way EMM Labs converts the Philips makes all of those modifications unnecessary for a stand-alone transport.I am sure it would cost you less starting with a stock unit and selling your modified Philips. It should be quite easy to get your money out of your Philips. My understanding is that Dan has the usual waiting list.
