20 channels of less immediate, less texturally rich, less dynamically alive digital sound will still be further from the event than 2 channels of top vinyl.being immersed in sound is a different thing than 'real'. 'more' is not the goal, 'right' is the goal. not that vinyl is all the way there, but it is closer.
my above post says that "none can quite get there yet to my ears".....so my mind is open.....waiting to hear it happen.....maybe someday.
the limitation is the software and it's resolution.....at least to my ears.....but again, my mind is open.
the 'real' Mona Lisa beats a huge wrap-around copy.
not that i don't like the copy.
of course, YMMV.
