YES, IF YOU WISH TO CONVERT CD TO DSD AND PLAYBACK; GET THE PROFESSIONAL VERSION 974/954. MUCH MORE FLEXIBLE AND CHEAPER THAN DOMESTIC VERSION. THE 954 USES THE SAME BOARD AS THE ELGAR.CHECK WITH DCS TO SEE IF THE 974 WILL TAKE THE VERDI SACD SIGNAL.IF NOT,YOU NEED TO GET THE DOMESTIC VERSION.OTHERWISE YOU CAN GET THE ACCUPHASE.
