True. And when they rolled out debit cards I could get cash from an ATM in Europe in the local currency and not pay any fees. Not any more.
When they rolled out cable TV (eg, HBO and Showtime) one paid $20 or $30 a month to watch recently released movies without any commercials. Not any more.
It's pretty obvious that the way modern predatory capitalism works is by getting your foot in the door and then gouging and gouging and gouging - however slowly. Because when it comes to the people in charge, too much is never enough.
