Home Hi-Rez Highway

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

Interesting

I'm sure I read somewhere Bob Stuart claiming either no DRM, no copy protection or both so that link is rather unexpected. Maybe the cryptography only relates to their 'guarantee of provenance' intended to protect the consumer rather than rip them off? That is as if people really need more blue lights on audio equipment.

Regardless, I tend to think less of a company with slick marketing and that Utimaco brief is pretty slick - though they don't really understand the end market as no audiophiles are young and good looking (anymore). Anyway, I just went to the MQA site to search for a statement about DRM, the search finds nothing and that site is even slicker ... oh!
