RE: The Silly IMO Price of Downloaded Music

The cost to deliver a GB of data via Amazon's Cloudfront CDN service costs at most $.085 to $.17 depending on what part of the world you're in. AWS's service is also known to be expensive versus other CDN providers like Level3, Akamai, etc. (https://aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/pricing/).

A 60 minute album in DSD64 is about 2.4GB, so it will cost under 25 cents to deliver to a customer in the US. So, less than a letter via USPS. Yes, I agree, the argument that bandwidth is in any way a driver of the high cost of HD downloads is so bogus as to be laughable.
