So do you buy SACD's just because you can....

or do you compare the layers or different copies of the software ie CD with SACD? With great CD's SACD sound great as well. In fact they sound better, more organic with more realism of the individual instruments. They also sound slightly lighter in weight, more delicate and to me, more separate. I like both formats but do find that CD's present the music in a more realistic way overall. I don't hear instruments in seclusion in real life the way I hear them with SACD. With that said, I am not of the church of any absolutes. I like good sound and music and could care less if it is correct from a "like live" sound or not. Good SACD's are good, my view is that just cause its an SACD does not mean that it is "good". I see too much blind acceptance and not enough critical evaluation.
