your posts can mislead people into believing that clock upgrades
are not worth the money and that they are just a scam for modifiers
to make money off the public.
You should try several clock mods before you post the results. Going
step by step is fine, but the public should take your results with a
grain of salt.
Remember, the stock clock in the Sony's cost them pennies to make.
Sony's are mass marketed products. The stock oscillator is small
and compact to save cost, not to improve performance. If all that
mattered was small size, external clock's would sound horrible.
As costs go up, electronics manufacturers will continue to find
ways to cut the cost of their products. All-in-one oscillators
are one way to do that. If a manufacturer were to use the Super
Clock in his unit, the retail cost of the product would be increased
by over $2770. This assumes a parts markup of ten times, which is
not uncommon. The high cost of quality oscillators explains why you
will never see them in most Hi-Fi equipment.
